Jim et al.,

I thought I remember seeing on the tirerack website a long while back a 18" X 9.5" SSR Comp or Comp H in E36 offset (43-45 mm).

Were these rims ever produced and if so, are they still available? (If not, what were the widest 18" SSR Comp produced for E36?)

Thanks.

never seen ssr 18x9.5 on an e36. 18x9's fit pretty easy though, et45.

The 18x10s for e46s will also fit on e36s, don't even need a spacer.

Though you will need massively mutilated fenders.

Thanks guys, must have been 18 X 9" I was thinking of.

Thanks guys, must have been 18 X 9" I was thinking of.

I have 2 sets of SSRs for my E36 DSP autocross car, 18X10 Comp H and a set of 18X9.5 SSRs. So I can confirm that the 9.5" wheels do exist.

A 9.5 with a 46mm offset will require a thick spacer front and rear to keep from rubbing on the inside. something on the order of 20mm.

The 18X10s were intened for an E46 M3 rear, and the 18X9.5s were intended for a M-coupe/roadster rear.

Thanks!

So the 9.5" SSRs were 46mm offset? Thats pushing it for an E36...

the 10s are 27mm, the 9.5s are 25mm.

both rub slightly on the inside rear with a 285/30-18.. but I'm running a lot of negative camber. With less camber, might be able to run more offset.

Bren on this forum has a set of 18x9.5's that have a different offset then the M3 or MRoadster.

The 9.5 wheel was for the rear of the E46 M3. It would take some work on the fenders.

What was the offset on them?

They were either 27 or 35mm offset.

Thanks, Jim. Must have been the 35's.
