A hot S50B52. I want a flawless, factory level install and not a frankencar. So, the S54 isn't going to happen; I'm not keen on running standalone engine management, intrinsic teething issues with the tune, and necessary modifications to the car.

I would seriously consider the S54 in a ground-up project car, but I won't put one in a ltw.

Anyway, I'll have more information as things evolve.

A hot S50B52.Wasn't there a S50 B30 in there already? I take it you're swapping it for more displacement.

Are you going to run Sunbelt euro cams? If so, are they providing appropriate software for the Siemens MSS50?

Aww hell, just trying to share my enthusiasm for the new car. My car buying habits are a bit compulsive, but this car is a keeper. :)

Here's the current GroupN S50B30. While it has some serious juice on tap in GroupN trim and while it pains me to pull the motor, I thought it'd be fun to take it to the next level.

Jeff,

Why did you sell the GT3...does the 997 even come close in comparison? I saw you thinking about the RS suspension on Rennlist..and now its gone??:(

Congrats on the LTW...whats happenning with the 3.0 motor?

Driving my E36 the other day, it dawned on me. I wanted an E36 in my life, but in the form of a full blown, no holds barred track car that is street legal (not interested in a truck/trailer combo at this point).

The GT3 is a fantastic car, but the 997S is friggen awesome ride as well. Far more refined, more planted, and a better street car by far. I finally came to terms with the idea that I wanted a kick ass street car and a kick ass track car, but no longer a compromise car. So, the 997S/LTW combo is my solution. If I had more cash to devote to my car habit, I might have kept the GT3, but the 997S comes *so* close to the performanceo of the 3, it made sense to dump the 3 and turn my attention to a fun project car.

TWS. I heard about the new track being built. It's apparently backed by the fella that owns Autostrada and the Lotus customers are getting first crack at memberships. I think it will be an MSR country-club style of track.

I'm very pleased to learn of it.
