title says "other", which means RUN!
Unless of course you were just going to race it.

Not true about the title. He said it's a theft recover with missing bumpers. If that's really true i see nothing wrong with the car. The frame is still straight.
I wouldn't mind having that car for a daily.

I bet it's not.

That's never fair. Why does the wifey get to have the E36 white 4door with MVR's? I would appreciate it more!!! Only if it's a stick though.

Wait. I take that back. I'd appreciate a stick OR auto M3 right now. Any M is better than none. :dunno :dunno

So, does anybody else have an opinion? I'm suppose to go down there and take a look at this car tomorrow.
It seems like a good deal, but that makes me wonder why nobody jumped on it already.

Lots of spelling mistakes, two different pictures of the engine bay, and stock rear bumper (and unpainted!).
Still an awesome car though. How much lighter?

I don't know what you would have to do to get it re-inspected to get a clear title. It might just be too much of a pain in the ass.
Why do I harp about this...because getting insurance on a car that has an "other" title is difficult, and expensive. I know this because two of the 5 race cars I have owned were bought with "other/salvage" titles. Of course you don't tell the insurance companies they are race cars, but when I try and get insurance to test drive it on the street after setting alignment, new parts, etc. the insurance company hits me with over double what the normal price is.
Save yourself the trouble and find a different one. Everybody can tell you it's perfectly fine, it's my buddy blah blah blah. When it comes down to it and you buy it, it's your ass and your responsibility to fix whatever might be wrong. Then you could be stuck with something you didn't really want to get involved with.
Why chance it?

It's only about 300 pounds lighter than M3.
Fog, car has been inspected and now has a title that says "Previously Salavged". Honestly, if it wasn't for that I'd already own that car, but he has pictures of the damage and all, and it still bothers me.

One of the biggest problems that I have run into is electrical problems. If in the accident something got smashed, like a part of a harness, you could start having problems if a tiny part of a wire is exposed.
The owner may not even know about it. The car could be totally fine until one day you hit a puddle the right way, and now you've got electrical problems. We find it all the time at the dealership.
There will always be other deals.

Does anyone remember "Maurolin?" He used to frequent this board until he got banned. He is the one selling the car. He hangs out over on the 318ti.org board.
