What I'm looking for is similar to what's pictured below -- but all black, with the roundel pressed into the plastic (or metal) , like what's on the steering wheel of some cars. (horizontal lines are the "shading" that replaces the blue areas in the roundel.) it is basically just raised "lettering" with no color.

so does anyone currently make or sell anything like that? i've looked around a little, but haven't found anything. i just like the idea of a subtle black roundel up front rather than a flashy colored one (looks tacky, imo). other option is the license plate replacement strip, but i think i like the black roundel idea better.

your local dealers should carry them. and you can add on the black with vinyl decal to cover up the areas you don't like.

hmmm... i haven't seen what i'm talking about on ebay or at the dealer... they all have the normal ones as pictured above... it should look like this, but on a solid black fake license plate:

what i am looking for and have been unable to find is a fake solid black license plate similar to the first pic i posted, but with no color. the roundel should be replaced with the roundel from the second picture i posted... that means all i want is a solid plastic or metal rectangle with the bmw logo imprinted into it. my local bmw dealer definitely does not have them and i have yet to actually see a picture of one.
