it looks like it will cost me 600 for valves and guides alone, tehn 1900 for head gaskets and labor, should iu just buy a used head and slap it on, or get mine rebuilt? does anyone know where i can find one?

[QUOTE]then 1900 for head gaskets and labor,
$1900.00 seams a bit steep for the labor and gaskets. Does that include all the labor for rebuilding the head??

it is for taking the head off and putting it back on and new gaskets....the building of the head will be about 600 for valves and whatever they are going to charge me for the headworlk( milling of hte head)
