How hard would it be to put a front mount intercooler on my car if i have the VF sc kit for an E36 M3? I've heard people say that it can't be done but i've also heard others say that its easily done with some custom pipe bending. What are your thoughts??

Not sure, but I think you would get a much better response in the Forced Induction section.

Has anyone done this yet? I am hoping to mount an intercooler and bump up my boost by 3 lbs or so. Will the GIAC software be able to handle it?

Dont you mean an aftercooler for superchargers or is that something totally different?
I thought intercoolers were used for tubos to cool air being pumped into the turbo.

anything is possible, but the trick is to make it not restrictive. The more bends and connectors you put in the path, the greater the pressure drop, the more you have to wrok the SC , the more heat you add to the charge...
No, I doubt that the GIAC tuning would handle it.
