Now when my car is at idle i heard a chattering sound. Is this normal? Someone actually said to me that it is my injectors opening and closing is this true?
Thanks!

have you put a lightweight flywheel in?

It could be the Vanos unit and you can probably tell by placing a stethescope on the Vanos housing. Another source of rattle can be the timing chain.

all i can say is whoever told you it was the injectors is wrong lol
but i have this sound too, goes away when i push the clutch in, very faint (i dont have ltw flywheel or aftermarket clutch) is that kinda what your talkin about??
i think its either vanos or the flywheel just vibrating around

I have this same sound but on my 92 325. I am pretty sure the noise is coming from the transmission area. My chatter is at idle and is very noticable. I do not have an aftermarket flywheel but maybe the flywheel or clutch isnt installed right? :dunno

are you talking about the belts, they seem to make a chatter noise on these motors, they all seem to make that belt noise slightly

I dont think its the belt. I definetly hear it coming from the tranmission area and no chattering from the engine bay. I can hear it real clearly when I listen under the car near the rear portion of the front fender.

Vanos or lifters is what I initially thought, but the sound is usually so obviously from the front or top of the engine, same for issues with the chain tensioner or chain-relted issues. If anyone has ever replaced your clutch and not used the right clutch plate with your vehicle (dual mass flywheel and solid clutch vs spring-loaded clutch plate), then it will chatter almost continuously. Same if by some chance the clutch plate has popped a spring or a rivet, but if this has happened, the vehicle usually has other issues.
Have you inspected the guibo for cracks or wear?

I have what youre describing.. But in my case, I think its pretty easy to tell its the vanos.. First, with the hood up, you can hear it coming from that area of the engine.. Its so forward that I even gave the radiator expansion tank a check to make sure the fan blade wasnt nicking it. Unlike valve tick, its very irregular.. Not rythmic.. people have described it as a random shaking of a can with bbs in it. Thing is, after the engine warms up, it goes away. And it only comes when its been parked long enough to completely cool off. This is a very common phenomena with at least the obdii M3s (dont know if all the E36s are prone to it, and dont know if it effects the 3.0 ls or just the 3.2s), and pros say not to be concerned with it.. just cause it lapses into this noise making routine doesnt mean its not working.

Well i found out my lifter is actualy bad over at cylinder 5 i have 60psi compression when shes missfiring and now 120psi when the car is started after a cold night. So my BMW mechanic is going to do my lifters and check my valves. Maybe the chatter is from those! Thanks for your replies everyone..
