okay... is this a fyi to all those wondering.
i recently installed new bilsteins and in the process i decided to switch the front strut hat to increase my neg. camber.

before the switch:
front camber: left (-.7) right (-.9)
caster: left (6.9) right (7.0)
toe: left (.06) right (.06)

after the switch:
front camber: left (-2.54) right (-2.35)
caster: left (7.14) right (7.28)
toe: left (3/32") right (3/32")

one thing, my car seems to drift abit to the left now. not much, just a very little bit. i think my alighnment was not done that well. so here are my rear end numbers. remember my before was all stock. and the after numbers was upon completion of the bilstein dampers.

before:
camber: left (-.9) right (-.9)
toe: left (.04) right (.07)

after:
camber: left (-.99) right (-.46)
toe: left (1/16") right (3/32")

Thats a ton of negative camber!! Is this a street car?? Also what exactly do you mean by switch the strut hats??? I have h and r coilovers in the front and they are all the way down but i would like to go lower. Anything i can do to achieve this?? ALso is that as close as they could get it to zero toe in the front??? My car is a street car and drag strip hoe so im love total zero toe.. Thanks for any info and pics..

No its not. Its about a degree less than it really needs to start working.

Is this a street car??

I would say thats an easy yes

also what exactly do you mean by switch the strut hats???

Exactly what it says, he swapped the left strut hat to the right side of the car. The right strut hat to the left side of the car, its only works on 96+ M3's.

Buy shorter springs. H&R's use standard 60mm race springs.

0 toe improves tire wear when running some negative camber, but makes the car very darty on the highway and follow every road imperfection.

Slight toe in is a better option.

sg m3 is right.
the strut hat reversal is exactly what is says.
and this is my street car that i use to auto x's and driving schools.
the reason i posted this was to follow up my previous thread. "i asked if anyone knows, what is the negative camber on this modification with stock springs." most of the replies were from drivers that had lower bimmers. so know one had a more exact figure. it seams like that i am the only one interested in keeping a stock hight ride and still attempting to dial in the suspension.

I'm going with this same setup... well, I'm running Koni SA"s with stock springs. Just looking for a quick fix to get some extra camber.

Take it back to your alignment shop....it looks to me as if they don't know how to adjust a BMW. The Toe and Camber is adjustable on the back...it should be closer that what you posted.

Looks to me like someone just focused on the front wheels..and neglected the rear totally.

well after a few auto-x and hpde... my tires really started to show its short term lifespan so i reverse the hats back to normal...

but i also installed vogtland springs... to improve my performance.
but here is the kicker... i 've lower my car by .5" in the rear and ~1" in the front and here is my alignment.

front (left) ( right)
camber: (-.9) ( -.8)
caster: (6.8) ( 7.2)
toe: (.06) (.07)

rear
camber: (-.8) (-.9)
toe: (.07) (.09)

i can't believe my camber is not more like -1.5 rather than what it is.
ooo well, i guess my tires will last longer now.
