You should have 17x7.5 and 235/40/17s on your 95. The fact you have 235/45/17s is already slightly pushing it. I would say if you would really like to stretch it, go to 245/40/17s, but they are not recommended for wheels skinnier then 17x8s.

I just don't want to pass on this deal for the tires...they are uber cheap, and if I can use them until I can afford rims, then I want to pick them up......

when going wider, the tire also gets taller, if on the same rim. So that 245/45 will be quite a bit taller than the 235/40, a 245/40 is what you would want I believe.

thats what I thought....I'm very un-educated when it comes to sidewall height vrs. width ratios.......They look hooka huge....my 235/45's looked huge to, but they fit fine without any rubbing issues.......I'm sure I could fit it under the car, I'm more concerned if it will fit my 7.5" contours........this sucks, I'm going to end up passing on such a good deal......

Remember one thing... And its what I tell everyone looking at cheap tires...
Tires are the only thing that actually touch the road. And Although I'm a big best bang for the buck kinda guy, I wont go and get any tire. No too many people who have done so and wrecked or injured themselves in cars because they dont know any better.
Prime example is a guy who just got his EVO, replaced the OEM tires with Goodyear Eagle LS2s with an H-rating All-Season mark. He was bragging about how he only paid $25/tire and had less then 500 miles. Well the reason was because a guy bought them, and hated them, and sold them off. The EVO guys said he didnt care since he could burn through them and it would still be an investment.
2 Days later, guy wrecks his car coming out of a turn at a decent speed. Decent enough that a Buick wouldn't make it, but decent enough that anything performance oriented should... But he didn't. Jumped the curb triangle thing in the right hand turn lane, tipped the car up on 2 wheels, and slid into the curb that divides on-coming traffic and flips it over...
No one was seriously injured, he will be going through rehab however...
Just one a few incidents I can think off.
Sorry for the long story ;)
