2003xi, Winter, and tires

I live in CT and winter is coming up soon. I need to replace all my all-season tires. I've heard that some people don't put snow tires on their AWD drive cars, that all seasons will get around just fine.

What do you think? Will I be fine with allseasons? What kind?

Yes and no, many tires are decent in the snow. Depends on if you want handling, comfort, wet and or winter traction, and wear.

Continental ContiExtremeContacts, Yokohama Avid H4s or AVON Tech M550 A/S will do alright in winter and decent in the summer and wet. Extreme handling will be sacrificed, but you will get some decent wear out of these versus the 3 season tire.
