How much paint is required to paint a car?

If you use an HVLP spray gun, you should be able to paint your whole car with 3 quarts.

3 quarts is how much my old body shop used to paint my civic.

3qts???? Maybe if you use PPG were its requires a 1:1 cut ratio with reducer. I forgot the OE paint name but that stuff takes a (correct me if i am wrong here ) 3:1 ratio with reducer.
