View Full Version : intake question...
which intake should i buy for my stock 328i ? i have $150 to spend and will be doing this with the fan delet mod.( i knwo it has nothing to do with it :D ) also, is there an upside/downside to getting an intake for the winter ? i'm pretty sure it doesn't matter but never had an intake so just curious. also, what hp increase would i expect with intake and fan delete ? thanks
p.s.- would it be smarter to get the underdrive pulley kit from UUC or understeer instead of an intake ? please give me some suggestions guys. i'm getting the fan delete kit for sure, then either intake or pulleys.

personally, I'd grab a LSD diff (3.15 or 3.23) before getting an CAI and pullies and fan delete for a 328.
you'll like it in the winter too for traction over your open.

well the problem is, my thermostat is a bit messed up so i'm already decided on doing the fan delete. apart from that, i have no money for a diff right now, although i'd love to get the 3.15 LSD. i only have about 150-200 for a good mod... not sure what though, help thanks for the suggestion though
EDIT: If anyone wants my (i think) 2.93 open diff +$150 for their 3.15LSD for whatever reason, let me know

+1 cosmos. great buy for the money. if you have $250 you can get a chip and debaffle your airbox for now. whatever you wanna do, its your car!

cheapest "chip" for my car is about $350 but as i said, i'm settled on getting the fan delete since i've heard good things about it and also my thermostat is messed up so this will replace it. thanks
