Wondering if E39 M5 OEM wheels will fit, especially the rear wheels, on a 95 M3. I'm pretty sure the fronts will work, but wasn't sure about the width/offset in the rear. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I'm also curious if the E46 M3 competition package wheels would fit as well. Thanks.

i do not believe so..

the offsets are to low on both the m5 wheels and the m3 comp wheels. They would be rubbing big time with your fenders. You would need to flair the fenders, get a wide body, or have a machine shop shave the offsets for you ( i think this can be done ??:help )

M5 wheels (or any e39 wheel) will not fit an e36. The offsets are too low, and the centerbore is different.

You can however have 4 front CSL wheels and they will fit.

Well I love the staggered look and the way the rear wheels come in more at the center. I've seen cars with 4 fronts and it just doesn't look right IMO. Maybe I'll just start saving for RGRs.:devillook

Trust me, a non staggered setup will handle more neutrally if your skill levels can handle it. BMW didn't think so, that is why they added that stagger inthere...

The M5 wheels will not for the E36 M3 without a wide body.

That's a negatory. It would stick out a good 1-2 inches.

Do a search , there is a covertible e36 with oem m5 rear rims. Skinny tire, lots of camber and not much of a drop to avoid rubbing == poor fit for e36.

I don't see how the wheels would work on the car without pulling the fender lips out. But if you really wanted to make something work I suppose you can.

its still not hub centric even if you put it on there.

i have, personally, tried to do this and the fronts of M5 rims will fit the e36 m3 with the rears will not. wrong offset. i 'm surprised that the fronts even worked, but they do.
