Painted rims...Tell me whatcha think.

well i just painted my spare tire black with a silver lip.....I used the engine paint from kragen (bupli-color engine enamel gloss black) just wanted to see what they looked like painted....It took me about 1 hour.

I love the way it looks on the car...just need to do a better job on covering up the lip..well enjoy....and let me know whatcha think....

I'm not feelin it. I painted my ACS Type III's black and didn't like the way they looked either. I sent them out and had them returned to original finish. I guess that part of the reason I didn't like them is because my car is also black and there was no contrast.

I like it also. After seeing your's, I would do the same if I 'had the ltw wheels. I don't think it would look good on my double spoke II's.

I just painted my contours all black. I dont like the polished lip look, gives the wheel a look that makes it smaller than it really is. I have a Cosmos M3, and am loving the fact that the whole car is black. Very stealth like.... its awesome. Wish I had some pics to post of it, maybe tonight I will take some.... if the weather stays descent.:shifty

well i couldnt find any rim paint that was gloss black..... So i went and bought some "DUPLI-COLOR ENGINE ENAMEL 500F gloss black ". i hoep that this wont like scrap off or nething..Its basically for the motor not for rims but i figured it could be used for rim paint.....i did 3 coats on it...

wondering if anyone else knows any good type of paint that can be used for the rims because this was just a experiment?????I want gloss blacks cause its shinny and yea...

If I had ltws I would never do that. You don't have to use car paint goto home depot and pick up gloss black in a spray can. Thats what I did get clear coat too.
