I worked late tonight so I thought of taking some interesting night pix on my way home. Don't mind the one-handed driving... had to control the tethered remote shutter release button for the camera.
And eh, why not make a poll to make it more interesting. Which one is your favorite? Don't have one? Don't vote! :D

High ISO, very slow shutter speed, slow f-stop, very wide angle. :D

Geeez, why did I spell, "choker" with a "ck"? It's late. Sigh. Mods, can you fix? Sure wish you could edit thread names on your own.
Meh, I can only wish I was that knowledgeable about photography :stickoutt

I like #6 cause it's like you were going warp speed in your m and turning at the same time.

Thanks guys! You're truly a great crowd!!!
I'll post pix of the mounting and rigging I used to take these shots later today. Gotta go eat lunch right now. But here's a daytime shot I did today on the way to work. Same concept but different rules apply...
Lowest ISO, slowest F-stop, very slow shutter and the key factor, I added a 1.8 neutral density filter on the glass to further help reduce the light coming in. I had to use a slightly less wider lens so I could use the ND filter, so it's not as wide as the night shots. Without all these variables, there'd be nothing but washed out white light.
Not anywhere near as cool as the night shots though.
Following an X5 =)

Wow, it really looks like everyone likes image number 1 the best! I wonder if it has anything to do with it being the first picture and the first reaction is something like, "wow, this looks different!" and that the choice kind of sticks to that. Initially, I did like Picture 1 too, but for some reason, Picture 5 grew on me. Go figure!
Oh and I forgot to mention, then green LED in the cig socket is for a 12 volt splitter so I can plug more than just one thing at once. Wish I could say it was a double-secret boost button or something! :stickoutt
So here are the requested mouting and rigging pictures. Sorry about the bad lighting. I pretty much just did a run and gun without any prep. It's to the point though. Shot with my backup Canon 10D.
The mount is from I/O Port Racing in Lafayette, CA. They're actually only a few miles away from me, but they sell across the country. I added a quality quick-release mount to it so I can take the camera on and off without having to rescrew anything (major PITA otherwise). The mount also comes with a red security strap which isn't pictured. I've had this mount for about 7 years now. Works great. The camera is tilted down a bit because it was initially getting too much roof when I first mounted it.
Anyway, some pix...

I say take pic 1 all greyed out like that and leave some of the interior lights amber. . . contrast would look cool!
