View Full Version : what color is diffuser?

so i just got an M3 rear bumper and it's painted jet black with a polish finish to it. I want to change it back to OEM, plastic black color. What should i do?

The diffuser itself should be a flat black.

so just tell the body shop guy to paint the diffuser FLAT BLACK?!?!:confused How about clear coat?

Yes. Or buy a new one and sell your current one.

go to the auto store, and there's bumper trim spray paint in black. that should work pretty well, and you shouldn't need a clear coat with it.

correct me if im wrong, but if you put a clear coat on top, it wont look flat anymore. It will be shiney. Just about any paint looks flat before the clear gets spayed on top.

your 100% right. it will have a shinny finish to it.

timmy328is- why in the world do you want to repaint the diffuser. Are you really that anal about it. I mean your car is schwarz black right so it all matches.

I used a similar product on my front lip and LTW lip extensions. Matched perfectly and is nice and durable.
