I got 'em all. I found Joe's.
Dyno day participants,
Everybody needs to be there at 9am. Dan (guy running the dyno) said that if I tell people to be there at a certain time and people are late and he has no cars to dyno he WILL leave. So I suggest you bring something along to do to occupy your time waiting for your slot. I wish this wasn't the case but it is.
Here is a link to their address and map to their place (it is near 121 between Lewisville and The Colony).

IMPORTANT!: Dan told me all BMWs need to have a spark plug wired exposed BEFORE getting up on the dyno, so do it either before getting there Sunday or do it while you wait, but make sure it is done otherwise you will go to the back of the list.
Please find me (Silver E36 M3) or Bruce (Black E30 M3). Bruce will control the signup list and time slots...but...for the most part first come first served.

Geez this guy that is "graciously" offering us his dyno sure is bitchy:rolleyes:. I know of alot of other shops that would be more welcoming than this prick. Rotory Performance up in Plano or around there even provides food and refreshments. They dont bitch about not having an exposed spark plug wire and they are $30 for 3 runs. Not to mention, if cars dont show up in a timely manner they dont just close shop and leave. I for one wont be giving those a-holes any of my business. Lets try to get another Dyno Day going next year and use a more hospitable shop. Powerhouse just did one 2 weeks ago and theirs was $20 for 2 pulls and from what i hear they were really nice about it. They even had an air conditioned room with a big glass window to watch the dyno's if you got too hot:eek:. Now that is a shop i'd love to have business with. I know they are waiting to dig into my wallet like the rest, but atleast they are nice about it. Not to mention they cator more to highend cars instead of bitching when highend cars would like to congregate at their shop. Count me out of this one guys...:(

First off when we were planning to do this, I drove to rotary to ask them to see if they would do this day. Before I got 2 words out I got a flat no. "We don't do that anymore, our dyno is for product testing" to quote the guy at rotary.
I wouldn't call the 5 or 6 z06(only ones i have seen) with heads and cams done by them, low end cars. I have gone to 2 dyno days done by them, and they are very professional and courteous. I did dyno at rotary before also and it was 35 for 2 runs w/o a/f, not exactly cheap. I would say the speedworks 3 pulls w/ a/f for 40 is a good deal.
BTW speedworks also has an ac office with a window to watch dyno runs.

i didnt imply that speedworks doesnt work on highend cars. All i said was at Powerhouse they were working on Vipers and a plethora of different Supra's all in the 10sec class or serious road racers. They also tune turbo IS 300's and all sorts of other high end cars, from what i have heard about a dyno day they did a few weeks ago. If the rotary guys dont want to do it then what ever, i'd rather have it done at Powerhouse anyways. They have been in this market long enough and they have tons of examples of their work that i have personally seen as well as have a good name.
As for Speedworks being "professional and courteous", did you read Scho's post(4th one down)? Now if a guy is going to leave because not enough cars didnt show up in a timely manner or not dynoing somones car cause a wire isnt exposed is not very "professional or courteous" in my book. This guy acts like he is giving us the privelege of using his dyno when infact he's charging us a little more than other professional and courteous shops.
In addition, 5 or 6 Z06's with heads and cams on them is nothing to brag about. Anyone can get the parts, read a manual, and install that stuff. We're talking high quality tuning skills here and it would be in our interest to not only find a shop that can do that well, but also find a shop that is somewhat enthusiastic about it.
Ps. Im not trying to criticise those that decided to use this shop. Im glad we have some comradery and pride in our cars. In this country we can chose who we want so in the future someday we can go to a different shop that is more open, enthusiastic, and polite about providing services. This shops attitude is reminiscent of buying my M3 where a salesman gave me this "You should be priveleged that i considered selling this to you" attitude. Give me a break:rolleyes:...

I was so excited about this dyno day but I regret to inform you all that I cannot attend as my car is currently without an engine.
Details can be found here as to what happened.
