well, not EXACTLY sure BUT! we easily fit 24 document boxes in the Touring tonight as we began to move out of the apartment.

with ample room in the frint seat, you can fit 3-across, 4-deep, and 2-high, and still see out the reara window.

that SHOULD equate to 6-deep, 5-wide, and 3-high and still see out the rear window... and with the "wiggle room" remaining, it looks like the total could top 100 cases of beer... thats a lot of shlitz!

and, now that I think of it... it might be closer to 7-deep.... so, make that an easy 110.

put 110 cases of beer in the back of that , and you be looking like that jetta at homedepot pic that lingers around the net.

actually not so... we lost maybe an inch of ride heigt with all those boxes in back., looked no lower that it does with 4 adults in the car... the speings/shocks are a little more robust than the standard E39's IIRC.

ok we must do the math on this

What does the average 12oz beer weigh give or take if its a can or bottle then times that by 2640. If the beer weighs 1lb per can then you have about 14 190lb humans in that car. That must be exceed the manf. max load weight by more then 1,000lbs

hmmmm, all I know is that the shit we had in there was heavy and it still drove great... and I haven't the slightest clue what beer weighs... I only drink gin and tequila.

If anyone decides to test this "Relative Bier Theory", you need to stop by my house for verification. As you know the only true way to verify is to drink each beer in a relaxed state, preferrably by the pool. My adress is .......

If I every head back east... you can be sure that we will test the theory... we are actually going to do a "preliminary test" at a CCA get-together next month... I will let you all know the results.
