I'm looking for a flag with the Roundel on it - similar to those at the Zentrum in 'Sparkleburg'. Or any BMW flag for that matter.
Thanks
Nick

The one I've been trying to find is the dealer flag that has the wavy M3 color checkerboard. This like the decal that was used on the e36 lightweights! My dealer has 4 and won't part with any of them!

The flag set is NLA from BMW NA. When it was available, it listed for well over $500. I had a set from Ofest 2000, but sold them to one of the BMW Speed Touring Car teams.

Speedgear.com has carried some cool BMW Williams F1 Team flags ... though for some reason they're usually out of stock of the goodies I want, like the replica crew shirt. (Of course, they were scheduled to come out just about when the Compaq-HP merger happened, changing the markings etc etc, so we've just gotta be patient I guess. :) )

You can get a standard BMW flag as well as F1 flags from the F1 team site's Pit Shop: www.bmw.williamsf1.com ... though it'll be shipped from overseas, the base price at least is cheaper. My people are unfamiliar with this technology you call "international orders and shipping" so it might cost $2k to ship 'em over as far as I know. *shrug*

Since you're from the area, maybe you can clarify why they call it 'Sparkleburg' ???

I have a lot of friends that are from Spartanburg, and that's one of our nicknames. "sparklenuts" is a favorite, along with just plain "S-Burg"
Also, I think Spartanburg was one of the first towns in south carolina that had electricity.
(It's just a joke - I'm not a complete moron)

That sounds like a good idea to me - I'll call around and see if we can get a deal.

i saw a flag which has the motorsport flag, but its lighter than the M3 LTW one. I have it bookmarked on my comp back home, but im not returning until mid sept. it was like 35 bux for the flag, not bad at all.
