Ding gone with speed "limit" in OBC

When I drive the 7, I set the speed limiter on the OBC for 80 mph. I do this because in that freakin car you will look down and be going 95 :evil2 But anyways, I know in the E30 there's a sound associated with the limit, but as of now in the 7 the "limit" light just blinks. Any thoughts? Have anything to do with the integrated stereo which was on? Thanks.

Sorry, can't help ya with a solution, but I set mine to 85 MPH and it "dings" when my stereo is on. That's, if I have the music low enough to hear it... :D

hmmm, with the speed limit thingy, does all it do is just blink, or make a beep sound if u reach the set limit? Or does it not allow u to go any further, regardless u are full throttle or not?

It blinks a message in the instrument cluster and makes a single "ding" sound, simply as a cautionary reminder. But it does not limit you to that set speed... unless you happern to coincidentally set it to the factory speed limit of ~128 MPH, of course. :D

hehe i have to use that and cruise control on my moms 7er all the time, becuase they ride sooo smooth you cant tell how fast your going, in my 3er you can tell how fast your going, but the 7 you cant i was going 60 in a 25 and i didnt even notice till i looked down, from now on i set the lmit, i think mine beeps though.

IN order to hear the "DING" you must turn "MEMO" ON ( memo is the audiable setting in the 7)
