330Ci vs Z4 2.5i

Im am about to trade in my 01 330i auto but i cant decide between a 330Ci and a Z4 2.5i, both will be used and manual trannies....i would take a Z4 3.0 hands down but it is slightly out of my budget so these are my choices.

So which would you rather have and why?

I would get the Z4, but I have become very biased towards roadsters. The lighter weight makes them faster than the 325.

Go with the roadster if you dont have to carry anything around with you. Way more fun. Topless option too.

I've owned somewhere around 8 roadsters and two 4 seat convertibles and for pure driving experience I would lean towards the 2 seater. But that being said, I would choose the 3 series cabrio hands down over a Z car for myself. I just went through this buying process myself after selling my M3 a couple of months ago.

I'd go with the 330Ci, it's such a beautiful car. I don't really care for the Z4 much.

The 330ci is such a beautiful car, everytime i see it, i stop whatever im doing and watch it drive by. Call me crazy but i like the 330 better than the M3 and i am not much of a fan of the z4. so IMHO go with the 330

we just bought a 325CI a month ago and love it, but the 330 would have been a much much better choice. the convertable 3 series is somewhere around 300 pounds more then the coupe so a 330 would be a great choice. i like the body much better then the Z4 (can't stand the Z4). although i know the Z would be a more pure drivers car. if you can have a car that does nothing but seat you a friend and a bottle of water then get the Z ;)

Family had a Z4 2.5 for almost 3 years now, and just sold it with 10k miles for $25k. I drove the car for about 3k miles and it just wasn't that much fun. The power steering was way too much, the car was too small, and it looked funny. The 330 is just a sleek clean car, and not just the flavor of the year.

Z4 hands down. WAY more sporty. styling doesn't even matter when you're in the drivers seat.
