I might be moving from CO to IL here pretty soon and I gotta bring my M3... Only problem is that it isnt running... I have NO idea how I might get it from here to there. I was thinking about a U-haul car trailer, but how the hell am I supposed to get my car up on it without a winch? Keep in mind I do have the Rieger Infinity I front bumper, so ground clearance is definately an issue.

Any advice on how to go about transporting my car would be awesome :buttrock

Take the bumper off...clearance problem solved. That's pretty standard procedure for a lot of the race and track guys who trailer their car.

Get 2-3 friends to help you push the car onto the trailer...loading problem solved.

Well I had never even thought of taking off the bumper mainly b/c I have no idea how. The stock bumper is a piece of cake to take off, but this Rieger piece isnt as easy.

Any idea how to take off my bumper?

And do you really think that 3 guys can push the car UP a ramp? Its hard enough just to move it around on level ground...

Take the ebrake off :stickoutt
3 guys should definitely be able to push an e36 onto a trailer. I've pushed mine all over the place by myself.
Also, depending on the trailer, you might be able to get more clearance by loading it onto the trailer tail-first.

It should mount up with the same bolts that the stock bumper mounts with. It can't be that hard to figure out.

Happens all the time at the track when cars end up with motor problems and need to get back on the trailer. You'll need someone to steer the car probably and 3-4 guys to push it up.

Sorry to tell you but it does not because it doesn't have real moldings like the OEM bumpers. You need to go from behind and it's a PITA.

Use 2x4s to make a longer ramp and push. It'll be easier too as it won't be as steep. Good luck. :)

So it sounds like it might take 10 minutes instead of 2.

For someone with your abilities, of course!
