Which do you think would be higher, with coverage being the same, and why.
This is regardless of the age of the driver, accidents, etc.
Which car would bring a higher premium and why do you think so, or know so.

I'm assuming the "99 E36 M3" is a sedan? If not, what is the difference in cars? :help
Sedans are always cheaper than 2 doors though if that's what you are asking.

I doubt the difference would be enough to warrent getting one over the other. Itll be expensive either way.

The M Coupe just seems like it would be more to insure, maybe I'm thinking that way because it is rarer and seems like more of a 'sports car', or atleast probably does in the eyes of the insurer.

I'd venture to say that an e36 M3 would have a higher % of accidents

My bad: read it too quickly. That is a toss up but would have to say the M coupe only because it's more of a true "sports car" but hey, I only play a Geiko insurance salesman on TV. :stickoutt

Why don't you call your insurance company? They can tell you exactly how much each one will cost to insure.
The 99 M3 will cost more to insure than the 99 M coupe. The number of claims in the last year and a half for M3s has gone through the roof. Insurance companies are adjusting.

Sounds about right.
PS: I read the last sentence as, "Insurance companies are disgusting."

lol. When I wrote "Why don't you call your insurance company?" I really meant, why are you asking random people on a forum when you can talk to the agent and not get a bunch of guesses and bullshit. :D Basically, RTFM.

Agreed. I'd think M Coupes would have a bit lower rates now that the E36 Ms have become so readily available and inexpensive. That equals a lot more claims.

I checked this at one time since I wanted an M-coupe and the M-coupe blew the pants off the M3s price! Couldn't believe it. They said two seater sports cars are always much more expensive. :(

most people i have spoken with have told me m coupe insurance is dirt cheap, since most insurance co's don't know what it is they classify it in the miata category.
I know for a fact e36 m3 is outrageous.
