Will coolant hoses for the 325 fit the 325i? :dunno I'm guessing they will, just want to make sure. Thanks.

the only external difference in the coolant system is that the TB heater mounts differently. on the one from the firewall to the TB and the TB to the stat might not work, although when I bought the ones for my eta I had to cut the one from the firewall cuz it was too long so I suspect it was probably the same part number.

That is the only part is suspect.

It depends on the year of the 325 and the year of the 325i as well. BMW re-routed the coolant hoses on the 88 and newer 325i so you'll have to get a lot more specific about both cars. For instance, the 87 325i radiator design and coolant hose routing is completely different than the 88 325i.

You really need to specify the year(s) of the various 325 models when asking questions about em because each year and model has little differences, some of which are kinda important :-)

64-21-1-380-527
11-53-1-722-218
13-54-1-719-967
64-21-1-376-137
64-21-1-380-012
11-53-1- 718-982
11-53-1-718-980
11-53-1-287-651

Anyone know how to look these up?

64-21-1-380-527 :inlet water hose, according to ETK good for all E30 320i, 325e, and 325i engines. also the Z1

11-53-1-722-218 : water hose, according to the ETK good for all the 6-cyl E30s 87-92
13-54-1-719-967 : water hose, according to the ETK good for all the 6-cyl E30s 87-92
64-21-1-376-137 : water hose inlet 2. This one is listed for the 4-banger M10.
64-21-1-380-012 : water hose inlet 1. also listed for a 4-cyl
11-53-1- 718-982 : water hose. This one is supposed to be for all the 6-cyls. 87-92
11-53-1-718-980 : water hose. Also 6-cyls. 87-92
11-53-1-287-651 : water hose, all 6-cyls.

only the -651 and the -527 are listed directly for the early Eta.

-651, -218, -980, -982, -527, -967 are both for the late Eta and 325i

u need 11 53 1 722 743; 13 54 1 719 966 and 967. I may have forgotten one.

I was too lazy to find out what the hoses listed for the 4 cyl are suppsosed to do.

New here but longtime Bimwad. The late eta/i is only for early i's, the 88-91 have a 2 pc. hot hose setup w/ connecting plastic tube. The t-stat neck hose goes to the tube laid diagonally behind the water pump to another hose connected to the right side of the radiator, and the return is moved to the left side.

This was done because any engine shifting under load caused the p/s pump to slice into the hot hose as positioned on the pre-88s. You can convert just by getting the 3 new hoses, tube, and radiator.

The diagram is the pre-88 setup.
