That was my initial thought as well. If it means that the new M3/M4 has a far better engine output than the current S54, then, by all means.

E46 M3 = 3,460lbs
Z4 M Roadster = 3,275lbs + 10hp + 7ft/lbs TQ

Being almost 200lbs lighter along with some minor engine refinements, make the Z4 M a formidable adversary to many other high-end roadsters...

Not, this is what they're going to do with the first S54 engines they made and replaced for free because they were too weak :devillook
