Cruise Control Doesn't Work?

I just bought a '97 M3 w/63K miles and the cruise does not work. It hasn't worked since I bought it. Are there any common problems with the cruise control?

check fuses first then check if you have power to the control module. but most likely it is a fuse. but the module under the hood could be work out. next check your cables that run from the cruise control module under the hood to the throttle.

Just rip it out, thast what i did, if you need a cruise control module with cable, let me know. i got one.

I checked the fuse and it's fine, all of my fuses are good. I am going to buy a multimeter tommorrow and start trying to find the culprit. I'll look at the clutch/brake switches, then the column cruise activator switch.

redrocket- I'll let you know if I need the module. My last car the cruise went out and i replaced the control module, and it still didn't work , so I'll leave that for last this time.
