Are these junk or what?
I just got my car out of paint, and ready to install front spoiler, and it is not really a good fit at all. Seems to be made for cars with flares, which i am not doing. Are the plastic ones, such as from Ireland easier to work with and mold around the body to fit nicely? Or am i just gonna have to cut this thing to fit? I have about 1-2 in excess on either side, and looks crappy.
What are your experiences and thoughts??/

I have one like LIp277s, bought the car with it and have removed/installed a few times enough to say its a good fit, although someone did trim it just a wee bit. I also have turbo flares, may be why the "trim" so not for sure if it must have mods. As far as the plastic, I'd say its more abuse proof, but you can't do fiber glass patches w/ the plastic, as you could w/ the glass.

The spoiler i have currently does appear to look like that. i do not have flares, so the fit is not perfect. I suppose i could trim and cut a bit to modify.
i was just wondering if it was wortht the time and effort. ireland sells the ABS plastic ones for $175, and that may form fit easier than the glass one.
I may just try to fit this one to start, since it already has been drilled for pop-rivets.
Anyone have pictures of one cut and trimmed to fit a car without flares.

The spoiler should fit level across the top of the spoiler, at least on the plastic Zender part. The one in the image seems to droop in the middle and from the side looks to be mounted too low.

I know it's to late now and of little help BUT all the parts should be fit to the car before paint that way if there is a fit problem it can be taken care of before you have to worry about scratching something. As far as a new part look at Korman they have a fiberglass part that might work for you. Also if either fiberglass or ABS plastic needs to be worked a little both will bend if you add alittle heat i.e. heat gun, heat the part up then move were you want it to be then hold it there till it cools NOW you can't bend it in half I'm talking about little adjustments. Hope this helps.
