I didn't see center carrier bearing mentioned in your list. That could be your problem. Mine had a vibration around those rpm's and after replacing the carrier bearing they were gone.

great so the one thing i didnt replace is prolly the issue.doesnt the whole exhaust have to comedown for that and the heat sheild?on a side note i bought this car for $4,500 with 72k on it 2 years ago witch was a great deal at the time.i have put $7,900 into it in mods and mantenice since then.this is all cash money no loan no credit card.my last 2 things were the big brake kit and some aftermarket seats witch was another 2 grand for that.i swore i would go all out with this car and finish everything i said i would do but i do belive this stupid vibration really has turned me off.thank you for the input.

Sorry to see you've had so much trouble. I replaced the bearing in probably 2 hours. Removed the exhaust and heat shield, then dropped driveshaft. Used a puller to remove old one and a punch to carefully get the new bearing on the driveshaft.
If you do this, make sure to mark your 2 driveshaft halfs so you put it back together the same way it was disassembled. Driveshafts are balanced, so you'd be REALLY hacked if you screwed up the balance by putting it back together 180 degrees off or something and had to take it all apart again.

yeah i have the exact same problem on my 92 318i, does it make a slight vibration when you are rolling in gear? Let me know if you got the problem solved and what it was, thanks -Andy
