Water, water, everywhere

Well, the recent rains in NJ, revealed just how leaky my convertible is ('97 328i). Water in both the driver's side foot wells, front and rear, and below the rear seat cushion in back. I got out as much as I could and it looked dry and I left the rear seat cushion out (its like a sponge filled with water), but on the way into work, there seemed to be new puddles in the foot well in the rear and below the cushions again - and there was no rain. So there must be water trapped somewhere else and its leaking down from movement of the car. There wasn't any water beneath the convertible cover, so I am baffled as to where it may be. Also where do all these leaks come from? The one in the front driver's side foot well is the most baffling. Does the whole top need new seals? Its not like the t-top camaro I used to have, that leaked on my lap so I could see where the leak is coming from! With this car, I don't see anything leaking, but the water majically appears after a rain.

I hate water leaks! It could be from the front windshild area. Hope all your electrical connectors are OK.

check the spare tire area. . .i just had lots of water in there.

I have a 95 325ic guess your post sounds EXACTLY like what I experienced this weekend. Better open up your DME ECU and inspect your board. Radioshack sells a 6 oz spray can of electronocs lubricant/contact cleaner, qtips and compressed air by 2 0f everthing. ANd a bunch of paper towels. I'll post my story later on.
