View Full Version : how to know if steering rack is gone?

My steering is ok left to right for about 2 in" and then hard and dosnt return by it self.

has any one had a rack do this?

Sounds more like your pump. Possibly rack though. Do you have any noise associated with it?

no noise at all.Its smooth and hard then smooth again.

Hm... likely the rack then.
