I'm going to install gauges, (oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp) and want to know where the best place to install the oil temp sensor. I am going to install the water temp in the metal thermostat housing. I'll remove, drill and tap for the 1/8-24 npt. I have a JT oil distribution block that I will use for the oil pressure and the stock low oil pressure idiot light.
The question is where to install the oil temp sensor. I could install the sensor in the oil pan drain, but that really doesn't appeal to me. There is another port in the oil dist block, but I guess placing the sensor there would result in the most accurate reading.
So any ideas???
Thanks
Rich
