I have a brand new (still in original box) Borla stainless steel cat back exhaust I would be willing to part with for $400 OBO plus shipping. Original cost was something like $600+. It definitely fits E36 325i coupes and convertibles, but better double-check first to see if the sedan takes the same fitment (can anyone help out here?).

I ended up never installing it 'cause the wife decided it might be too loud for her '94 convertible. I just haven't gotten around to posting an ad to sell it...

Thanks for the offer anyways Budget, but one of the reasons I want to get a SS is because it's not much louder than stock - which would eliminate the Borla (or triflo etc) from contention.
