Here's a long shot... $6500 - '92 325i w/ Dinan upgrades. 133,xxx miles. Black/Dove gray
Dinan suspension (I think it's Stage 4. Nimble could verify this.)
Dinan BBTB
Dinan CAI w/ K&N cone filter
Dinan Freeflow Sport Exhaust
Dinan Chip
M3 clutch/flywheel
M3 Shortshift kit
15" alloys w/ Nitto rubber (rears have less than a month on them, fronts are at about 1/2)
Smoked rear lights
Black grill
Clear corners

Performance-wise, this is an awesome car. The handling is a dream, and for a non-VANOS engine it pulls hard all the way through 5th gear. For example, my buddy's 2004 GTO... we ran 3 times from a stop. All 3 he jumped to a 2 car lead and then couldn't pull any farther through 90 mph. He's not the best driver, but he's decent... so the car has some balls to it.

The bad (as always):
The M3 shortshift kit was not meant for this car. 3rd gear will pop the shifter out randomly. This does no damage to the tranny, but it's annoying. I may put in a UUC kit within the next few weeks depending on how the money situation goes.
The interior is in ok shape. I need to recover the headliner (it's fiberglass right now). The rear seat has a small rip on the driver's side. The front seats have furry seat covers on them (synthetic lamb). The M3 floor mats are used, but clean.
The exterior is also in decent shape. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. There are a few dings, the hood needs to be resanded & clearcoated (has some touch-up drops that need to be sanded down). There are 2 small rust spots on the rear fenders that need to be sanded, primered & repainted. The next time I take it to the mechanic he's going to talk to the paint shop for an estimate.

In the last year I've replaced the radiator, battery & the ball joints. All in all, it's had about 3 days of downtime. Oil changes every 3 months & all that jazz.
I have all the major paperwork since the first owner. I may be missing a couple oil change documents, but that's it.
I'm asking for $6500 but it is negotiable. I bought this car from Nimble 1 year ago for $7500 @ 113,xxx miles.
I can get more pics if anyone wants.

These pics were taken before I swapped out the headlights. The ones in there right now are not yellowed at all. Running silverstar bulbs.

Impressive I would say...if you weren't located about 1000 miles away I would be highly interested. I may still be if you are willing to ship...or meet halfway or something. I am located in N. Florida.

Anyways you must have your reason, awesome looking car.
Bumb for you!

Thanks guys...

I love this car, I really do. I've got my eye on the E30 that's being sold in Indiana. My first bimmer was a '91 318i, and I've wanted another one ever since it died. If I hadn't just gotten married, I would probably have enough to keep this one and pick up the E30... but, I have to make a decision. I also don't have enough free cash right now to bring the exterior/interior back up to 100%... so if someone else would like to take a shot at that it would be appreciated.

I've never shipped a car before, so I'm not sure how to go about that. I'd be willing to do a little road trip, though, if it helps sell the car.

I may be interested soon. I just bought a 328i for weekend use and love it so much I'm planning on replacing my daily driver with a BMW. Ad is starting tomorrow in the paper so as soon as my current daily driver sells I'll have money for my next BMW. Does it need anything mechanically? Everything up to date? What is stage 4 suspension? Sounds pretty good!

Mechanically the car is sound. The only thing I can think of that I need to replace would be the rotors. I just changed the brakes about 4 or 5 months back and it will need new rotors on the next brake change. I'm hoping to be proactive and change the rotors before that. I'm also in the process of swapping all the fuses.
With the oil change this saturday, everything is up to date with the exception of an inspection II.
I was unsure of the difference between the Dinan Stage 3 & Stage 4 suspension setups when I got the car... especially since the Stage 3 is pretty complete. The Manager I talked to (at the shop where I get any work done) told me that it has to do with Dinan swapping their own camber plates. I've been trying to verify that online without much luck. I'm still looking. What I do know, however, is that the car holds the road like nothing I've ever driven before. I can approach an S curve at 90, brake to 65, and whip through the curves without squealing a tire and without much body roll at all.
Also, 1 thing I forgot to point out... I'm pretty sure the chip is a stage 1 since the limiter is still engaged. I think stage 2 removes the mph limiter.

Keep the questions coming... :)

Posting up some things I forgot in the original post...

The car has an 18 button OBC in it right now, but I never finished the project... so it doesn't light up (needs the dual harness, little arm on the driver's side of the steering wheel, and something else. It's all in the DIY). I have the original 11 button OBC, which works, but has about 1/2 the pixels gone on the readout screen. The clock still works 100% on it.
There is also an aftermarket headunit installed from when Nimble had it. It's an older Alpine, but still works fine. I also bought another headunit (used) that I'm cleaning up: Pioneer DEH-3400. I just need to pickup a harness for it and it will be installed. And, the original BMW radio/cassette headunit is sitting in my room. I don't think I have the code for it, but that's obtainable with the VIN.

I think that's it for now. If/when I think of something else I'll post it.

Still up for sale... I've got til January to sell, so no rush. I'm going to be taking care of my Dad's 330xi after that since he's leaving the country for a couple years.

I'd have to say your GTO friend can't drive at all, he should walk you like a parked car.

Sounds like a nice car though, some nice wheels would make a HUGE difference. I know it has to be pretty nice if Justin owned it.

to sell faster you might need to modify your price a little bit... I sold the same exact car this summer with less miles and more mechanical work updated and about the same mods for 4k cash... you might get more bites if you worked with something a little lower...

Yeah... I had an offer of $5k already, but I'm not in a super hurry to sell. If it sells before January that just means I have to find another car to drive for a month or so.

Price is negotiable... will sell on the spot if the offer is between $5500 & $6k.
