Hey, i was looking to buy some blizzaks for my e36 M3. i was gonna run 225/45/17 in the front and i was wondering what would be the best size for the rear with my 17x8.5 rim. I was thinking maybe i could just get the same size as the front (225/45) but i'm not sure? what do you guys think. i'm also on the stock staggered double spokes.

I'd go non staggered. You usually want a narrow tire for winter. And they will last more seasons since you can rotate them.

Thanks man i'm just gonna go 225/45/17 all around then. thats what i was hoping to since they can be rotated. I just wasnt sure if 225's would fir the rears.

I'll bet the Tire Rack guys could confirm that. But it should work.

The 95' M3's came with 235's on 7.5" wheels, now you're going to go 1" wider and shrink the tire, sounds too much. If you want the same size all around, go with 235's. I have blizzaks in 225/45 front and 245/40 rear and they were fine in chicago burbs. non-staggered is a nice thought, but i'd buy a non-staggered set of wheels to do it.
