Selling my 2001 - M3. New baby is here, and the practicality of the car has been reduced. I have an unsolicited offer of 35K and have seen others with similiar condition and mileage sell for between $35-39. I am asking $38,000. Any thoughts are welcome. :)

Details:
Silver, with Black leather interior.
~21,500 Miles as of August.
BMW Certified Pre-Owned

CD Changer, Xenon Lights, moonroof, OEM Strut Bar, OEM 19" rims with Michelins, leather manual NON-heated seats, HK stereo system, ///M trunk mat and floor mats, 6-Speed manual, cruise control, cupholders replaced with Euro coin tray.

Ownership:

The car had a previous owner for about 6K miles. Previous owner had it owned by his company then CPO'd it to himself. I bought it directly from him. Carfax reflects accurate mileage with two owners, one of which had a commercial use (business owned car).

Other:

All required maintenance has been done by a BMW dealership. I have had all service actions performed on the M3. Just finished the break-in period.

No track time, no mods (besides OEM strut bar and 19" rims - not an option on 01s, and a hardwire for a V1 or Escort - not included), and no accidents. All VIN #s match.

If I were keeping the car, I would get new rear tires and an Inspection II within the next 5K miles and I would fix slight (1") curb rash on the passenger side rims.
Car is maintained with Zaino (Z products and clay bar) on the paint, Leatherique on the seats, Aerospace 505 on the dash, Mother's polish on inside/outside of exhaust tips, enginebay detailed by hand only with solution of simple green, vacuumed weekly when driven, wheels only cleaned with microfiber towel, Zaino soap and water. Outside washed when needed, 100% genuine wool mit for washing, Griot's mircofibre towel for washing, rinse with distilled water. Polishing is done with 100% US cotton white towels.

Driver side seat bolster shows some wear. Airbag stickers removed off of visors. Paint is in excellent condition. No dents. 1 or 2 slight scratches on the paint that I can point out and provide photos of.

The car has never seen snow, and has been caught in the rain less than 5 times.

Not sure about price but I would be flexible - however would be using Roundel classifieds, Roadfly.org, Bimmerforums, NADA, KBB and Edmunds as basis for a fair price.

I will email photos on request. NO test drives unless you are serious, sorry but no one drives the car but me and I am not having tire kickers come. :)

Would you be interested in a trade for an 2005 Mini Cooper S mildly modded plus some cash?

Have you advertised on e46fanatics.com? You would certainly get a good response there. Also has the engine recall been performed?

The required service action was done (only required one service action) and I do not believe there are any open recalls or service actions remaining. Finished the break-in about 500 miles ago.

I have not listed it anywhere but here. Not sure if I am in interested in a trade...

Regards,

Paul
