Hey Guys
I have a fwd 88 Audi 90 that is slow and shitty. I have toasted a few cars, but its rare. So what I like to do is get those guys with the fast cars to toast me. The other day I was next to a mercades 500sl, and got him to toast me. Thats fun  . Its not like I don't try, but there it not possibly for me to beat some cars. Seeing expensive ass cars going fast as hell is fun, ya know.
I want to know if anyone else does this. So far I've gotten to race a porsche boxer and a carrea, a few mercades, a m3, my friends 88 325 (super eta) and his older bro's 88 325i, a 318ti ( I won that one), a mitsubishi 3000gt vr4, and some other non cool cars.

Haha, I do that too! I just enjoy seeing fast cars go fast! I love hearing engines scream and tires screech. My friend and I rode next to this old guy in a C5 on the highway until he gunned it once. I get a kick outta shit like that!:D

I'll try to upload some videos of me getting smoked. I drive a saab 900 (trying to find the right BMW - not in a hurry). Anyway my other friend drives an old saab too. We went around one weekend to this ricer convention and ALL we did was challenge ricers and stuff. Funny as hell, they would look over at us with the wierdest looks while I bounced the car @ redline, my friend would say stuff like "MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD PAL, SAAB!!!!!" and these guys would put up their windows....ok it was funny at the time.
We convinced a DB7 to peel out a light a couple months ago - that was sick. It's definetly cool to see fast cars open it up.

Hey why don't you do a turbo conversion?
That would make your car pretty interesting, since you could be making anywhere from the stock 227HP up to 315HP with the RS2 mods and even beyond.

Tell me more about this 'turbo conversion". How much would you think it would cost? Any info will do. Sounds interesting.
I could tell you what I remember, but that wouldn't be very accurate.
You would be better served by going to
www.audiworld.com
then to Forums->Older generations forums, they have one for 80-90-Coupe quattro.
Ask there for info regarding the turbo conversion, there are many knowledgeable people there who could give you a hand. Also roam the other older model forums, especially those regarding the Ur-Quattro, the S4 and Ur-S4.
There is a lot, and I mean a LOT, of information floating on that website.
Good luck.

LOL, I mock race people with my '00 Mazda B3000 (aka Ford Ranger), lumber racks and all. It must be the weakest 3.0 V6 built, can't even break the tires loose from a stop in the rain without dropping the clutch from about 4k rpm's. LOL! I was fucking with this clown the other day in a Neon with huge tach, shift light, Fred Durst outfit, and HUGE exhaust tip. The truly funny part was I *think* he was trying to put the smackdown on me, but he didn't pull away very impressively.
May a trip to T'hill HPDE with the Mazda p/u is in order and lap all the high-dollar-sporty-car newbies.

My 1.9L 4cyl Z3 makes people "flex" alot...
C5's
C4's
911's
Mustange GT's
and (Ferarri 308) - exhaust smoke everywhere:) needed a compass to make my way out of that cloud...
I also think it's friggin' hillarious to make these people (against who I have no chance) pull off the line... Wait 'til I get blown and bolt on my SS headers. Then I can step up to the plate w/ a little more confidence and toast 6cyl's and surprise 8's...

Here's what I think:
My "slow" car did a pretty respectable job at the track, I passed a Mustang SVT, a C4 'vette, and an S2000.... several times. :) All of them, cars that could certainly kick my ass, in a straight line. I don't feel the shame in getting smoked by a more powerful car, with some idiot punching the gas pedal.
Here's what I think.... again:
Some asshole with a real nice e46 (330i, nice wheels.....) parks next to my '95 318 in the parking lot everyday.... maybe he appreciates what fine condition it's in :dunno , ... maybe he's dissin' me 'cause my car is 7 years old, and he's got the new one, :dunno ... but my car is paid for... has depreciated about $2K in the 1.5 yrs that I've owned it.... and it looks good and fun to drive,... his, i'm sure cost at least 3X's what mine did, and depreciated MORE than $2K before the ink was dry on the purchase agreement. :emo
So that's what I think: Hold your head high... you're a smart, and prudent man!!! :buttrock
