235/40/18 will work just fine.

I have 18"x7.5" all around on 225/40/18.

225 is the best match for a 7.5" rim.

Remember though, that BMW ran 235s on 17x7.5s on 95 M3s. Hell, the LTW had 235s on 8.5s in the back!

I know. But the 235 on the 17x7.5 sticks out a lot.
