oil leak

ok i've noticed that lately when i pull out of the garage i have a lil spot of oil on the ground...

so i naturally jacked up the car... TRIED to follow it... well i really cant' see or figure out where its leaking from...

where are the most common places an e36 6cyl leak from?


im just guessing it could be a worn down oil pan gasket.. but i wanna know where else is common?

Power steering hose and drain plug are common leakers.

valve cover gasket is real common. Put your hand (on cold engine) down the left side-passenger side of the engine, a little toward the front. If your valve cover gasket is leaking you will touch oil just under the lip of the cover.
