Ok, so after driving around with the CEL on for months I decided to fix my secondary air system. I am getting a "volume to low code." F5 and F6 on the peak tool...chart 11.
Anyway, I replced the pump and the valve, is there anything else worth checking before I sell the pump and valve and buy a simulator. I'd really just like it to work correctly you know.

No that's it. You could have saved some money and just got the AA sim for it though!

AA SIM didnt even know that existed, I ve been driving with a dead pump for a year. I'll have to see if I can fingd it on their site.
They don't advertise it on their site - you have to call them directly. It's $150.
It's been working for me, except I continue to get F6 codes. Weird thing is, I only get it at idle when the car's been full hot for a while. Haven't got a clue why this would be.

Hey BimmerDude18,
Check to verify that you are getting vacuum from the line to the check valve. You can do this by pulling the vacuum hose off on the first start of the day and checking for vacuum. If there is no vacuum then you may have an opening in the vacuum line or a bad electric solenoid valve.

Damn why didn't I think of this. Only reason I guess I never checked is because the old valve was REALLY sludgy.
And I was trying to avoid the sim only because the car might be put up for sale soon and try explaining "I ghettorigged this so the CEL would go off" to someone who is looking at the car. The aftermarket headunit would be bad enough.
