Thinking of buying a red/black. Like it. It's fast enough to cruise. Anyone have experience with this car and especially the 318 engine? Anything to look out for. The car seemed excellent so far.
Thanks

Same (non-engine related)issues as 325/8- do a search for more, but...
-rear subframe weakness/breakage anytime
-fuel pump death @>100,000 mi
-Radiator death @>80,000 mi
-window motor death anytime
-Clutch @ >125,000 mi
-Inherent lack of power, solved before the purchase by buying a 325/8 instead, and after the purchase by supercharging or turbocharging.

If you are sure that a 318 is the one for you, I've found that the engine is very durable. (My 318iC has 170,000 miles– I installed a Downing Atlanta supercharger a couple of years back, and it runs very strong for a heavy little 4cyl.)
