FS: 1991 e30 318is 5spd, sport package, $1200, non-running

i bought a 1991 e30 318is as a project car, decided to go some other route.

it's diamond black on tan, sport package, 5spd. and it's hydrolocked with a flood title. does not come with a key.

the interior is very clean except for some rips on the driver's side seat bolster. dash isn't cracked, carpet is pretty clean, no smell. the water never got into the cabin.

exterior has some small dents/dings, but nothing major. the car looks to have been repainted very well in diamond black by the previous owner.

window, front and rear windshield moldings/seals have been replaced. shocks have been replaced with bilstein heavy duty. car is in VERY good condition.

only other issue is a slightly sagging corner of the sunroof. it doesn't leak though, just doesn't close flush with the roof of the car.

asking $1,200 for the car. located in raleigh, nc.

would make a perfect project car as it's in great shape physically, just needs a new motor and a key can be obtained through the dealer.

What's the "story" as to how the car got hydrolocked and flood titled?

any rust on the car ever been in a accident..

no rust on the car except for tiny bits where there are rock chips in the hood, but that would be true for any car with rock chips that went down to the metal. no rust i can see on the underbody.

as for accidents, read post number 5, where i stated i had already disclosed any information i had on the car pertaining to it's history since i just purchased it not too long ago for a project.

again, anything in the car's past, i don't know. but i'm more than happy to answer questions about the car's current condition.

Does the sunroof damage look like a break-in attemps, and why didn't the guy have the key?

If you decide to part it out my '91 318is was broken into today and the front panel where the a/c control, etc has been demolished and my glovebox is screwed up also. They tried prying it open since it was locked but failed luckily (my cd players deck and vehicle info, etc was locked in there). F'ing morons totally trashed the interior and only got away with the dock that the deck goes into.

Idiots passed up my expensive running shoes too. Now I'll go rant in the E30 thread :)

But if you decide part it I could REALLY some interior pieces right now. Because as you can see theres a little bit that is no longer functional.
