can I use m3 springs on my 325? I assumed I would need to use different struts and the likes. Let me know,
Jamie

I have all 4 lowering springs (approximately 1.5" drop) and two rear shocks and one front strut, might be easier to just replace the front struts as a pair, but I'll throw it in if you want it. I am looking to get 375 for everything. Let me know if you're interested.
thanks.

I have a set of OBX Coil-overs. I only ended up using the front coil-overs because for some reason, the back of my car was a lot lower than the front so I only used the front ones to try and make my car the same height all-around. However, I live in Massachusetts and we are known for out huge pot-holes on our highways due to all the snow we get. I hit an ENORMOUS pot-hole and unknowingly, cracked the threaded portion of both front coil-overs. The springs are both in great condition still (like I said, I only used the front ones so the rear ones are completely brand new, spring and all) so you would only be able to adjust the height of one end of your car, the front or rear, but you could use all four springs. If you are interested, make me an offer. I am just trying to get these out of my garage as I have been without my '92 325i for 2 years now. I got out of DTM's and got into DSM's. I own a '96 Eclipse GS-T. But I do miss the power of the naturally aspirated inline 6. But having a turbo is so much fun. haha. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks a lot.

No one seems to want to answer your M3 spring question. Yes you can put the springs on your car but if you go to all that work for the struts then you would be well advised to replace the struts if they are bad (how many miles on your ride?) as you would be doing this again to get the struts done.
I don't recommend M3 springs if you are looking at lowering springs. I have both an M3 and 325 and I run Dinan springs, sways, Spax adjustable struts in the front and Bilsteins in the rear. I have a sport suspension and it is a convertible so I need stiff springs just to get a normal ride (vert is 300-400 pounds heavier then stock).
If you lower the car you do know that you will need sport shocks and struts if you have the stock suspension. You risk blowing a shock or strut if you put the stock pieces on the lowered springs. Also you will be running more negative camber as well so expect to see increased tire wear on the inside of your tires in exchange for better handling.
Be careful dropping your car too much as mine scrapes over speed bumps, and some curbs.
I hope this helps some. There are good lowered springs out there like H&R Intrax, Dinan, Spax, on and on and on...You are better off making sure that you can buy the shocks, struts if you need them so you pay for only one set of installations costs unless you like a lot of work doing the struts yourself.....
