Looking for a street/autocross tire for a '98 M3, probably 245/40/17 mounted on kosei K1's. Anyone tried out the neova AD07? how is wet weather traction for a daily driver? compared to kumho MX? I'm stuck between those two tires, don't want to deal with overheating on falkens, but I'm open to other suggestions.
--edit- oh yeah, I heard these tires are pretty quiet at the limit, do they at least make a bit of noise before they break?
check out tirerack's comparo

Thanks, I've seen the tirerack and the grassroots motorsports review. I believe Tirerack gave this tire a .82 on the WET skidpad with their 330 test cars? (this PC doesn't load their website for whatever reason). I would already have these tires if tirerack wasn't out of the Kosei's. Next spring I guess.

This appears to be the only thread here about these tires. Has anyone given them a try yet? Looking to soon replace my S03s for street and track use.
TIA.

245/40/17 mounted on kosei K1's.
My Review:
This is my exact setup. Be aware-one thing I had to do was max out the rear camber and roll the rear fenders for clearance. I am low on TCKline D/A coilovers though but the tires are pretty wide for 245's...no spacer in front either.
The tires are great. Much better IMHO than the Goodyear F1GsD3's I had on the car before (they were 235/40/17's). I sold them and went with the 245's on K1's for both street and autocross. I have run one autocross on them and they are really great for a street tire. Great stick, unbelievable response (stiff sidewalls), and no overheating issues. The problem is there are two guys in my class that run the 255 Falken 615's on 17x9's that were noticibely faster. That was my first autocross in this car so I have to get up to speed. (coming from heavily worked E30M3 on Hoosiers)
Downsides: They tramline like the S03PP's. Ride quality is decent but the sidewalls are much stiffer than the Goodyears and you will notice. Some tread noise vs. the Goodyears. $$$ Expensive.
Overall fantastic tires. I would buy again but if you want to be uber competitve at autocross I would go with the 255 Falkens on 17x9 SSR's (45et). I am not sure how these would be on the street though. Must roll fenders here too but I went with this setup to avoid the roll and ended up having to do it anyway. Warning-Do not buy the Goodyears if you want to be competitive in autocross...

Sorry, To answer your other questions:
1. Wet weather traction is fantastic almost like driving in the dry! I also have an S2000 on OEM Bridgestone 050's and they break away ALOT more (yes even with no torque!)
2. Never drove on the MX's but I here they are decent but not in the same class of tire as the Advan Neovas.
3. They are very quiet at the limit but I do remember hearing them somewhat during my autocross runs. Similar to the S03's in this regard. I don't really listen for the sound though coming from Hoosiers that have no sound at all before breaking away...
Hope this helps!
Bob:)

Thanks Bob for addressing all the questions. :) I'm running MXs on my Subi currently and they are a good tire for the $$. (I have not yet driven them on the track yet. I do road courses rather than autocross).
I don't mind spending more on the BMW. The Advans are just a little less than the S03s.
