Help with 540i/6 Purchase

I've been searching for a 540i/6 ('97-'00) with the final intent of supercharging it. I have been reading that one of the best upgrades for this car is the 3.15 Diff, but I've also read that some of the 540i/6 already come with it. Does anyone know which ones come with it and how I can tell?

I assumed that maybe the ones that are optioned with the sport package do have it, but then I got confused because some of the ones I've seen that say they have the sport package only have sports seats but not the M-Tech wheel nor the blacked out window trim. I definitely want the sport seats, but what exactly should I be looking for?

If you do a search for sport package, there was a recent discussion on what is included. And no 540i/6 came with a 3.15 rear end, only autos with sport packages from '99 on (I believe). My 3.15 is going in my 540 today!

Yes, I agree. Only some of the automatics have the 3.15
