have used K1's for track and may want to upgrade to BBK for next season-and doubt my street M-Contours will clear the new rotors-
as K1's are priced very attractively I was wondering whether they would hold up in street use --suburban and some city driving but not a lot of really shitty roads withy major potholes-
any thiughts??

they should hold up fine. my roomate has a set of kosei's on his miata, well he's gonna put them on but they are sitting in my garage at home for now. i'll let you know how they hold up. i've heard they are a little soft (easy to bend) but i'm not exactly sure. i've seen a car hit in the front quarter pannel and the kosei's were still perfectly round so you might have to give it a pretty good beating to bend them. but yeah go for them!!! they are nice and light. i'm thinking of a set for my e30.

they are 8lbs lighter than stock and look good-I have heard that they may bend if pounded as they are cast, but I really don't want to go to 18" or very pricey rims if I upgrade the brakes

Yeah, they are fine. I drive around on the stree with my K1's and haven't had any issues.

+1, although mine are 15s with a 50-series sidewall...but the quality is definitely high. Go for it!
