Pretty Cheap Mesh Mod.....

I was looking for the Mesh to go on the bottom of my bumper. Searched the forum and found it being sold for about $115. Thought that was a little too expensive for mesh so I did a search on EBAY. There was a guy selling the mesh for $10 for 3-Series BMW's. I emailed him and asked if he sold them for E39's. He said to give him the measurements and he'd send me the material. I received it last week and installed it. The material is very flexible, but durable. I used the same parts(thin zip ties) given by the seller of the more expensive mesh mod. There is one hole next to each of the fog lights on my E39. The zip ties fit perfectly through the holes. If you turn the locking part into the hole, the zip tie cannot be seen without getting right up on it and looking for it. I think it looks great for $11! $10 for the mesh and .97 for a pack of 20 thin zip ties. The good thing is it's removable since there was no drilling. Simply snip the ties and it's off. I'm still messing around with it to see if I can maybe border it with something. So far, it's trial and error so I may just leave it alone. Here's a pic of the mesh installed on my car. I'll take more when I put it back on. Right now, I'm testing a few things to see if they work on it.

Like I said before.... I was going to take more pics after I put it back on. This was just a quick pic that I had before running out of memory on the digicam. Anyway, I doubt I will though. Not really worth sharing based on the replies. I knew there was a reason I stopped viewing this forum. "How much horsepower does that add?".... Why post to leave a smartass comment? Why not view the post and move on if you have nothing of importance to add? Some of you guys really need to grow up....

My brother has the same mesh the CTS-V grills have on his 2000 SS down low, if I can locate the same thing he has I will try to put some behind the kidney grills, and down low behind the grille in between the fog lights.
