Hi all, this is what is sure to be the first of many help needed posts from me, I am the proud new owner of a '95 540i 6 speed. Many of you know the car, it's BicycleFreak's old one. Anyway, somehow last night in her infinite wisdom my wife managed to break the power seat. It worked when I drove the car, and now both the driver's side power seat and power mirrors are dead. No clicks, whirs, etc. I looked at the fuses and they all appear ok, is there a relay or another fuse that she might have fried? I'm assuming/ hoping she just popped a fuse, and I can't find it. Thanks!

Dude, I cant believe you managed to break the car 15 minutes after the trade!
(just messing with you... :))
That is so weird, in the year we owned the car, it never had issues with the seats or mirrors.
Perhaps she hit the memory set button. Try focusing on that.

Give me a call later and let me know if you get it figured out.

I don't have a clue what she did, I just think she started pushing stuff. It has to be a fuse, why else would it knock out the mirrors too?

A search turned up someone with the same problem, turned out to be a fuse under the rear seat. Anybody know anything about this, which side, etc. Also, are there any wiring diagrams online for the E34? I don't have a Bentley yet.

its probably a fuse under the seat, pull it up hard where the locators are on the front of it, then when its up unscrew the cover of the box on the left and check the fuses inside if the outside ones are ok , there are 3 screws on the cover i think.

+1 My driver's side power seat fuse blows periodically. I've got a bunch of fuses in my car so I just replace it whenever it blows.

Thanks guys, it was a fuse under the driver's seat. Not a big deal, I just didn't know they were there.
