Who would be interested in this forged wheel if it was made available for the Mini?

5 - 10 interested buyers and they make them. Specs (size, width and diameter as well as offset) will be determined by the wishes of the buyers. Price would probably be less than 3k per set, more people, the lower the price.
Here they are on a M3 ...

OK, I'm still trying to work this wheel with the manufacturer. I just hope there is enough interest to make it happen.
This is what we're thinking so far ...
17 x 7.5" w +42mm offset. This would be the same as the BBS RV-F wheels for the Mini.
What do you all think?

How much do you think it's gonna run for??

I have not been given a price yet, because we don't even have enough people expressing interest :( We have to have at least 5 people to make this happen. I have been told they will be less than $3,000 though and sector111.com sells the RS110 Lotus Elise wheels for $2,850.
Also, to try and make this a little easier for us to get our questions answered I started a thread on RAC Monolites web page. Please express your interest and ask any questions you have there as they would be able to answer them much better than I ... I'd just like to see these put into production so I can buy a set too :)

What about weight on these?
They better be VERY light for $3k.
We don't need another 17-7.5" wheel for the Mini. Some of us are getting the hp to use wider tires and we need a 17"x 8.5" x 45 offset. I'm running 235s now and may go up a bit more.

I wish more people agreed with us, but so far there hasn't been enough interest to make these a reality.
No one except for me has shown any real interest here on RACMonolites forums (http://www.racmonolites.com/ractalk/viewtopic.php?t=44) :(
All they wanted was a minimum of 4 sets to be ordered ...
