Well The title says it, I had to get a new tire and they guy tryied to pump it up to 51psi but I told him to put 35psi in so he just stopped at like 40psi. He said I will ruin my side wall on the tire if I am running at 35psi.
So what PSI do you run at?

the max should be posted on your tires.
check them out.
i run the front tires 2-3 pounds less then the rears.
seems to ride better and not as harsh.

I run my 235/40 17 PS2 tires at between 32-35 front and 31-35 rear. At the moment I have them at 33 rear and 34 front with no problems at all and it rides fine every day. 50 is way too high IMO and probably most others as well.
The sidewall states no more than 41 or 40 to seat the bead of the tire.

are we talking "pilot sport II?" i don't know what ps2 means.
i just got new kumho mx's today and have been running 34f/32r in my conti's. i'd like to know if this pressure is too low, although the owner's manual says 32/32.

these are experimental tires. special rubber compounds, the guy at the lab told me they'd hold 75lbs. what, you're afraid? put 75 fucking pounds in you worthless bastard!
edit: should have began with "we were somewhere outside of barstow when the drugs began to take hold..."

255/40/17 at 32psi
My car was handling like absolute crap before I dropped some air from the rear and softened the rear shocks from near full firm to near full soft.
Just my experience on my sort of weird car.
