Ok well i just got my new 328ic like not too long ago. The owner said it had almost every option available. And i was looking at my rear, and it seems kinda low compared to other same year verts. Tell me what you think.

You should look under your car and try and see if he replaced the shocks with bilsteins. This might be a sign of lowering.

I had worn out shocks on my 325, and my car was sitting really low. Once I got new shocks on it sat high like new. Not sure if this is the case with you but that was with me.

Not sure how much shocks have to do with ride height... :confused

It looks normal to me. Same as my 96 which has less tire to body clearance on the back than the front. In fact all that I have seen look the same.

My car is the same, the rear tire to body gap looks like its lowered, front has normal gap to it.

My 95 was sitting quite low when I got it. Changed the wheels to 18" and it was rubbing. Found out the rear shock was shot. Changed to Bilstein HD shocks in rear, no problem. But as far as yours go, it seems normal height as verts sits little lower than coupes or sedans.
Let the MOD begin! :buttrock

Yea well i found out that if you push the car through the corners, and happen to hit a small bump the tires will rub. Even when going down a straight road and i happen to hit a bump kinda hard, one or two of the tires will rub. I think it is because of the flaps, but those will come off in a few days. Im just taken it easy now, and going over bumps kinda lightly, or avoiding them all together.

I'm tucking 16's in the rear. it's the 300+lbs that the vert has over coupes/sedans.

Did you have to do anything special to get the 16's in there? I'd like to buy 16's instead of the stock 15's, but was hesitant. I don't want to have to make any other mods to make the 16's fit.

I'll let you answer this one yourself buy giving you this info:
BMW made stock wheel sizes for the E36 15, 16 & 17.
FYI, my car came with these wheels.

Yeah, the tires look kinda big. I was originally distressed about the low ride height when I picked up my 328iC a couple of months ago, but mine's no different than any of the other pics I've seen here. I have noticed one thing, though. My car is an automatic, and when I am stopped, with my foot on the brake, and shift in Park, it seems like the butt end of the car actually drops. Then when I shift out of Park, it pops back up again. I've never actually stood outside the car to observe the phenomenon, but it feels like it could be dropping a half-inch or even an inch. Either way, I've stopped worrying about mine.
Good luck.

I know this... however, we talked about the verts sitting lower than the other cars and I wasn't sure if the 16/17 was offered stock on the verts or just on the others.
Thanks.

My 1997 has the Sport Package with the factory 16" twin-spoke 5 spoke wheels. Looks and drives great.

Yea they are original sport seats.
As for my car it seems as if i have the original shocks on the car. The tires are the regular size i think. They are high performance tires. Yea i love my 328ic and im thinkin my next mod will be getting rid of those mudflaps and getting some clears.
Oh and i will look up the tire sizes for you guys later, its getting detailed!!

Find a good BMW mechanic and get his opinion. I think your springs/shocks
may need replacing. You might want to also add some new more appropriate
fitting tires. Good luck.
